Sagi and Guillo engaging an Afterling
The parts of Malpercio that still retain both sentience and power after losing various components. These were used in the "Malideiter Project" to create false spiriters. A piece of Marno was infused in Sagi.
Other pieces were infused into Bein, Celsica, an unknown animal, an unknown human, and the Celestial Tree. Each Afterling must be fought in Baten Kaitos Origins, save Sagi. The afterlings within their hosts resurface when the host feels immense feelings of anger, hatred, and sadness and pain, presumably because the force ultimately controlling the afterlings, the Dark Brethren, feed off such negative emotions and are empowered by them to resurface.
